We’re in the process of phasing out the Legacy App and moving all active sellers to our new and improved Candle Builders App 2.0. The new system is faster, more reliable, and designed to support future upgrades—including support for Etsy and WooCommerce integrations.
🔄 Will My Legacy App Still Work?
For now, yes. Your Legacy App will continue to function normally while you setup your App 2.0 account. However, you should switch to App 2.0 by June 30th.

Be sure to complete your App 2.0 profile add a payment method to activate your account. Like our Legacy App, you will only pay for orders received.
📦 Is there an automatic migration?
Certain users will be migrated automatically by Candle Builders. You will be contacted directly by June 6th with instructions.
Note: Even if you qualify for migration, migration is not 100% guaranteed. It is possible some of your products or data may be missed. Even if it qualifies, there is a chance that your account many not be automatically migrated. Please do contact us if you have any questions.
You won’t be migrated if any of the following apply:
- Your Shopify store isn’t connected to the Legacy App as of April 1, 2025
- Your Shopify store is closed or uninstalled from your Shopify Store
- You haven’t submitted any orders since June 30, 2024
- Your account has unresolved payment issues
- Your Shopify store has less than 50 candles made from our Legacy App.
🤔 Can I start over fresh with App 2.0?
Yes. You can start making new products in App 2.0 and submit them to your Shopify store whenever you like.
Here are the steps to take to transition from our Legacy App to App 2.0
This assumes you have created your App 2.0 account, added a payment method, and completed your profile.
- In your Shopify store, find all candle products made by our Legacy App and save them to Draft Mode in Shopify. This will take them offline to prevent more orders from Legacy App created product.
- Create your new candle products from the App 2.0 catalog & submit them to your Shopify store.

- Confirm that all Legacy App orders are processed and shipped by Candle Builders. If there are pending orders, then you should wait before uninstalling our Legacy App. Make sure all product made by the Legacy App are in Draft mode.
- ✔️ Uninstall the Legacy App from your Shopify Store.
❌ DO NOT uninstall the Candle Builders App 2.0.
⚠️ Upgrading to App 2.0 means you need to create new candles in both App 2.0 and in Shopify.
When you add your App 2.0 products to your Shopify store, this will create new Shopify Products. It will not replace the existing products made by our Legacy App.
❓ In App 2.0 I see a SYNC LISTINGS button on the Listings page. Will this work?
No. Pressing the SYNC LISTINGS button will not migrate your Legacy App products into App 2.0. At this time, this button will only bring in unusable copies of your Shopify products to App 2.0 listings.

It is time for Candle Builders to change and grow!
For years, Candle Builders has offered a Shopify App. This app connected your Shopify Store directly to our production team. Now called our Legacy App, it is being phased out.
App 2.0 is Candle Builders’ new and next generation app. It has more features and integrates with multiple platforms.
What happened to the original Shopify App? (Now called Legacy App)
Candle Builders is quickly phasing out our Legacy Shopify App. Candle Builders App 2.0 has more features and upgradeability.
What if I am using the Legacy App right now?
If you use our legacy Shopify App and you are an active seller, you need to move over to App 2.0 ASAP.
Do I need to create a new account for App 2.0?
Yes. App 2.0 is a new and 100% separate system from anything we have evern made. App 2.0 is also completely separate system from our Legacy App and website.
What do I need to do once I am fully set up in App 2.0?
If you have finished setting up your App 2.0 account, have products in App 2.0, and successfully sent those App 2.0 products to your Shopify store, then it is time to uninstall the Legacy App. Note, you should only do this once you are sure App 2.0 is set up properly and there are no pending orders being processed through the Legacy App.

Will my Legacy App order history transfer over to App 2.0?
No. App 2.0 does not import past order data from the Legacy App. Any orders in your Shopify store made from our Legacy App will remain in your Shopify store.
Can I use both the Legacy App and App 2.0 at the same time?
We realize there will be some overlap. Ideally you will uninstall your Legacy Spp from your Shopify store when your App 2.0 products go live. If you need to keep your legacy app installed for any reason, such as for pending orders, make sure that any Shopify products made by the legacy app are in DRAFT mode.
Can I still drop ship from CandleBuilders.com?
Yes. Our CandleBuilders.com website is 100% separate from our App 2.0. Orders submitted through our website or App 2.0 will be produced and shipped in the same time frame. The new App 2.0 system has no impact on how CandleBuilders.com operates.
