How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice to Candle Builders
How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
⚠️ Important: Submitting a false or misleading DMCA takedown notice is a serious matter. Under U.S. law, you may be held legally and financially responsible for damages if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing. Only submit a takedown request if you are the copyright holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
If you believe your copyrighted work is being used without permission on a product we printed or sold, you can submit a DMCA takedown notice to help@CandleBuilders.com. Use the subject line: DMCA Takedown Request.
About Our Business
Candle Builders produces and drop ships products on behalf of thousands of online sellers. As a print-on-demand company, we only produce products for our sellers when they supply us with an order.
We do not stock or store any finished products for our drop ship customers. If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on any product we were involved in producing or selling, please contact us immediately.
Required Information for DMCA Notice
To submit a valid DMCA notice, please include all of the following:
- Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- Copyright registration number (if available) or trademark registration number (if applicable).
- Any relevant links or images showing the product in question (product pages, screenshots, etc.).
- A statement such as:
"I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law." - A statement such as:
"The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright." - Your electronic or physical signature (typing your full name is acceptable).
Our Response Process
Once we receive a valid notice, we'll review the request within 5–7 business days and take appropriate action. This may include halting production, disabling the design, or suspending our client's account that submitted the potentially infringing artwork.
We will notify the accused party of the takedown request and provide information about the counter-notification process as required by law.
Important Limitations
Please note: While we can take action on products we manufacture or sell, we do not control listings on external marketplaces and cannot remove content from third-party platforms directly. Please contact them directly.
Infringer Account Policy
Candle Builders maintains a policy of terminating accounts of customers who violate this policy.
How to Submit a Counter-Notice
If you believe a design or product was removed in error based on a DMCA takedown notice, you may submit a counter-notice to request its reinstatement.
Please email your counter-notice to help@CandleBuilders.com with the subject line: DMCA Counter-Notice. Your notice must include all of the following:
- Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- A clear identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement such as:
"I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled." - A statement such as:
"I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located (or, if outside the U.S., I consent to jurisdiction in any district where Candle Builders may be found), and I will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or their agent." - Your electronic or physical signature (typing your full name is acceptable).
Once we receive a valid counter-notice, we may forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may reinstate the material at our discretion.
